Billie-Jo Porter was a Grand Finalist in the 2022 Toyota Star Maker and has been steadily releasing singles over the past few months, including 'Upside'. Recently she released her self-titled debut album, which is a ray of musical sunshine.
Says Porter of the album, 'As I geared up to record my album, I couldn't help but wonder - what if this was my only shot at leaving a musical mark on the world? I quickly realised that I wanted to have fun, spread happiness and infuse some pure joy into people's lives! So, I decided to ditch the heartbreak tunes, the "you did me wrong" tracks, and the "screw you" songs.'
The result is a joyous experience for the listener that also gives us an insight into what Porter must be like to see live - and she has dates coming up listed below.
