Kerry or "the Kingdom" as it is often referred to by the Irish, is known for its mystical landscape, beautiful sandy beaches, cliffs and rocky headlands. Today's case begins at one of those scenic places, at a 500 m long White Strand beach near Caherciveen. The beach is in a sheltered location, between the mountains, which makes it a popular spot for swimming and courting. But back in 1984, White Strand beach became a scene of a crime, which sparked an investigation that shocked the entire nation.
