Description

Construction cash flow has been a major problem for over 400 years and it hasn't changed much since the construction of St. Paul's Cathedral when it borrowed funds from St Peter's. Its where the saying "Robbing Peter to Pay Paul" comes from.

I understand the damage caused by slow payments and am here to help. My podcast features motivational and knowledgeable guests who have experienced this problem and are here to help you take action.

Welcome to Episode 5 of Construction Cashflow where I interview Peter Searle.

Peter is one of the most experienced construction professionals around; Former Regional Direct of Kier he steered the business to develop a new client base via national frameworks, leading the way for ten years of new growth.

Peter has also been a judge for the Construction Manager of the Year award for the over £100m project category.

He is currently Chair of the Professional Membership Review Panel for the CIOB and has his own Management Consultancy practice.

In this episode, Peter shares his intriguing story, his journey on how he got to where he is now, what led him to focus on helping small construction businesses and why he has come to focus on the importance of record keeping, milestone payments, scalability, and profitability and how these are inextricably linked.

He will introduce his new App 'Planned v Actual (PvA)' and how his years of experience have gone into this app, which protects subcontractor profits, is an adjudicator's delight and is simple to use.
