Description

This episode of Hearland Podcast features Polish-Indian journalist and author Mithu Sanyal and Danish psychologist and former associate professor Bodil Pedersen. In front of a live audience on Heartland 2018 the two participants met in a conversation about sexual violence and what it means to be a victim thereof.

They discuss how sexual violence has different meanings, consequences and victimizations depending on the culture you belong to. The two participants explain how we almost never distinguish between being a victim in a legal or psychological sense – and why this distinction is important.

The conversation is moderated by Danish journalist and editor Anna von Sperling.
