After a brief parental leave-induced hiatus, the entire LIP cast is back with a banger! In light of Nicola's new responsiblities, he ruminates on whether diaper changing could be the next big olympic sport (1:15). Should we differentiate between singles and doubles? Do we even need spectators due to the inherent high pressure?
Then, there is a special announcement about the growth of the LIP Podcast Network (3:02) before diving into our mundane postulation (4:45). Which LIP host is most likely to shamelessly dog-ear his books? What books should this be allowed for and when should a bookmark be leveraged instead?
Finally, our main postulatory episode is all about language (13:30). Our deep-dive sees us pass through what the most difficult languages we have learned are (15:40), some of our favorite language related party tricks (19:30) and what the studies say about the benefits of language learning (24:30). We then round things off with a quiz to test whether we can tell what language is being spoken totally out of context (50:35).
Don't forget that you can watch video clips of our episodes on our Youtube channel, including the opening segment of this very episode.
