On this week's episode, we sit down and watch the 1986 British cult classic; “Withnail and I”.
The film follows two unemployed actors who share a flat in Camden Town in 1969. Needing a holiday, they obtain the key to a country cottage in the Lake District, but the weekend holiday proves less recuperative than they expected.
We discuss possible comparisons to “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, how excellent the dialogue and performances are, the endless quotes, the fantastic soundtrack and how hard Jimi Hendrix rocks.
As a warning for the episode, at the end we do speak about themes of addiction, mental health and suicide - so if this might affect you or be upsetting please be aware of the content of this episode.
As always though we hope you enjoy the show. Please like, share, review and subscribe, it really does help, and check out any of our socials as well!
