We're starting a new book for the month of May! Today we're discussing the introduction and chapter one of Take Time for You: Self Care Action Plans for Educators by Tina H. Boogren. If you're looking for teacher or speech therapist self-care, this is the book for you! We'll be going through questions you can ask yourself to get started and lay the foundation for this self-care journey. We'll discuss Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and how it applies to the work you do as an SLP or teacher. We'll also go over strategies you can use to check-in with yourself throughout the day to make sure your basic needs are being met. We can't wait to get started with this wonderful book!
