This week's episode is with hilariously talented Julia Belle, host and creator of The Breakdown podcast which is, as I'm sure you can imagine from the title, breaking down the biggest political news stories minus the complicated jargon and making politics easy and accessible for everybody.
We discuss how she began her career in presenting, what she learnt from hosting and producing her own radio shows, how she's coped during lockdown having moved back to her family home, and how she's managed to rebuild momentum on the podcast throughout it all. She also speaks incredibly candidly about her mounting anxieties that manifested during lockdown about her life and career, whether it's possible to per se "have it all" and how to balance it all.
We discuss the craziest headline stories this year (including Kanye 4 President obvs) the difference between UK and US politics and whether Julia would appear in her own politics musical (her Nicola Sturgeon impression is undeniably spot on).
I hope you all enjoy the episode as much as I enjoyed recording it!
