Today, we introduce the Eastern Patron of this podcast, patron of Dennis G's eparchy: St. Basil the Great. St. Basil lived from ~329 A.D. to 379, navigated many theological and political challenges, and was second only to St. Athanasius in defending orthodoxy against the Arian heresy. A man of means yet always attentive to the needy, St. Basil is a great model for Christian perfection and charity in the midst of overwhelming adversity. St. Basil, pray for us!
