In the latest episode of the FILMS I OWN BUT HAVEN'T WATCHED YET podcast, a special spin-off from WN MOVIE TALK PODCAST, I dive into another film from my ever-expanding DVD collection. This week, I randomly selected the comedy movie "Fanboys." Join me as I watch it for the first time and share my review!

"Fanboys" (2009) is a comedy film directed by Kyle Newman. Set in 1998, the story follows a group of devoted "Star Wars" fans who embark on a cross-country road trip to fulfill their dying friend's last wish: to break into George Lucas's Skywalker Ranch and watch "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace" before its official release. The group, consisting of lifelong friends Eric (Sam Huntington), Linus (Chris Marquette), Hutch (Dan Fogler), Windows (Jay Baruchel), and Zoe (Kristen Bell), encounters a series of humorous and unexpected adventures along the way. "Fanboys" is a heart-warming tribute to friendship and fandom, filled with nostalgic references and cameo appearances that celebrate the enduring legacy of "Star Wars" and its passionate fanbase.
