In the latest episode of the FILMS I OWN BUT HAVEN'T WATCHED YET podcast, a special spin-off from WN MOVIE TALK PODCAST, I dive into another film from my ever-expanding DVD collection. This week, I randomly selected the Tim Burton fantasy horror "Sleepy Hollow" starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci. Join me as I watch it for the first time and share my review!

"Sleepy Hollow" (1999) is a gothic fantasy horror film directed by Tim Burton, inspired by Washington Irving's classic tale "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The film stars Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane, a skeptical and eccentric New York City constable sent to the small village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of mysterious decapitations. Christina Ricci co-stars as Katrina Van Tassel, a resident of Sleepy Hollow who becomes Crane's ally. As Crane delves into the eerie occurrences, he uncovers a sinister plot involving the supernatural Headless Horseman. Known for its atmospheric visuals, darkly whimsical style, and compelling performances, "Sleepy Hollow" combines horror and fantasy in a way that only Tim Burton can deliver.
