Luke 19:1-10

Zacchaeus was an outsider, and he knew it. He also knew that having Jesus would change his life. In Jesus’ encounter with him, we see the Savior’s love for the outcast which begins with seeing him. To follow in Jesus’ steps, we also must see those that are considered forgotten or those mistreated, affirm their value with the giving of time, and lead them to Jesus and His community so they can be fully engaged in a new way of life with Jesus at their center.

Key Verse: When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. (Luke 19:5-6)
