What if the key to becoming a more compassionate person and a more compassionate society was not being nice, but rather being unhurried? God commands his people to be unhurried because hurry kills compassion, and the Church is intended to be a family of rest and justice that stands as an alternative to the hurry and injustice of "civilization."
