Today on Fatchat I’m joined by AFL premiership superstar Des Headland! Des shared some great stories from his career including being the number #1 draft pick and how he felt with that pressure, his early days at Brisbane with coach Leigh Matthew’s and all things Fremantle. The big take away story for me was Des being dropped for the 2001 grand final after playing 20 games that season. Des used this for motivation and after putting in a massive amount of work in the off season with team mates Michael Voss and Jason Akermanis, the following year polled 16 Brownlow votes and had arguably the best season of his career. Do yourself a favour and have a listen!
