“The biggest moment in my life of getting back up was from feeling absolutely worthless and learning to appreciate myself”, describes Faith Dickey, Professional Highliner and Owner of Elevate Outdoors. After a car accident gave Faith a wake-up call, her life completely changed direction. Her path led her to a slackline festival, which shortly after led her to become a professional highliner and beat world records.
However, her twenties led her through injuries and burning out which in turn took her to rock bottom. Feeling totally worthless, and questioning “Who am I?” If she wasn’t Faith Dickey the highliner who sets records and highlines all the time, then who was she beyond the sport? Challenge your fears and you walk them. One small step at a time. So how has Faith’s life fast-tracked her and forced her to engage with her fears? How did she navigate through rock bottom, and discover her new purpose in highlining?
