Description

If you've been with me for a while, you know that I am {not so} secretly obsessed with How I Met Your Mother.

I think the show is brilliant in how they portray dating + relationships.

When I saw the episode where Barney explains his application of the Lemon Law, I thought it was genius, and I knew it would have to be a podcast episode.

Now, the Lemon Law, when it comes to cars, means that if a car is defected or continues to break with repeated fixes, it falls under the Lemon Law. You can get your money back.

When it comes to dating, according to Barney, the Lemon Law can be invoked within the first 5 minutes of a date if one or both parties "deems the union hopeless."

Obviously, that's a bit shallow, and not what I'm advocating.

In this week's episode, I'll explain what I AM advocating if a date isn't going so well, or if you aren't sure about your guy.

Specifically, I'm talking about:

  1. The time I invoked the Lemon Law + left halfway through a date
  2. If he looks good on paper, but you aren't sure, should you keep seeing him?
  3. How to deal with the guilt in turning a great guy down

Tune in below!

After you listen, in the comments below, I'd love to hear have you ever agreed to 2nd, 3rd, dates {and beyond!} because you felt guilty or that you "should" like him?

Tell me about it below in the show notes, veronicagrant.com/episode7.

xo,

Veronica
