The sound project Miroir is a collaborative project where two computer players confront their respective mechanics. The general idea was to capture sound elements inherent to both individuals through repeated activities of our routines. Video games are very visual, but they are also auditory, and it is the sound aspect that intrigued us. Through a minimalist approach, we aimed to overlay our responsive attitudes to these various situations, experienced and perceived differently depending on the individual. What happens for one, as much as for the other, in a more or less identical timeframe, while engaged in the same task ? The 15 minutes correspond to a compromise in duration. For one, this time corresponds to the more or less typical length of a multiplayer match in the game Smite, in arena mode, where two teams battle until the point count ends by subtraction. For the other, this time corresponds to farming a dungeon in the game Path of Exile 2, where at the end, there is a boss fight. This sonic overlap and these different rhythms encourage paying more attention to the details, in order to try to build sound tracks and make connections with the various repeated actions.
