This week, Alice is over-exuberant at an auction and comes home with a giant giraffe. Josie discusses the art of hanging pictures and the perilous Poundland frames on her stairs. Our guest is our friend and phenomenal artist, Natasha Kissell, who tells us about her journey from being an unpopular student at the Royal Academy to earning her place as a YBA, when Charles Saatchi bought her entire final show. She now exhibits her unique landscape paintings in galleries all over Europe. And, as if that wasn’t enough, along with her teaching and musical life, she also paints spectacular murals. Natasha has a fabulously unconventional and bold sense of style and in her jewellery box, she shows us the huge Alexander McQueen skull ring she received to celebrate the birth of her daughter, Lux. She also shows us her late mother’s jewellery from South Africa and how these statement pieces, with big painted beads and beaten metals, give her a precious link to her past and her mother’s glamorous swimming pool parties in the 1970s.
