Meet Tracy Harward, Creator of Ishtara.

Tracy is the creator of Ishtara, a method for transforming from the body up with movement. Ishtara is the result of her 20 year search to heal herself from childhood trauma. Tracy measures a 9 out of 10 on the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) score - having experienced most types of childhood trauma from 7 to 15 years of age.

Tracy found the answer in her body.  She learned a practice of moving meditation at a retreat that she continued at home on her own.  As she continued to listen to and follow her body in movement, she became able to feel her emotions, her patterns, and her trauma simply as energy in her body.

Because she was able to feel her psychology in her body, she was able to work with it directly. In her daily practice over years, she discovered new ways to heal with movement. She began to heal in ways that were real and lasting and passionately sharing her method.

Tracy created Ishtara from her own lived experience combined with 10 years in high practice in moving meditation and 20 years of study and training in somatic psychology, spiritual psychology, gestalt psychology, trauma psychology, attachment psychology, and transpersonal psychology.

Tracy has studied with masters in somatic psychology,  including in-person study with Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk (Body Keeps the Score) and online trainings with Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. Stephen Porges, and Dr. Pat Ogden.

Tracy is the author of Ishtara Body Alchemy - a guide to transforming your past and your patterns with movement. She teaches hundreds of students, including therapists and coaches, around the world. She has also trained 30 teachers in the Ishtara method.

Tracy is devoted to showing people how to become free by following their own body as their teacher, healer, and guide.
