Description

My guest this week is Chris Gouldsmith, also known as Goldie.

Chris is an endurance athlete and performance coach with a rich background of adventure and challenges.

Chris served in Iraq as part of the British Army until being injured whilst on tour in 2010. And in 2011 his twin brother, Jonathan, also serving in Afghanistan was killed at 24 in a tragic accident whilst on leave.

3 years later Chris, who had never completed a marathon before decided to honour Jonathans memory by completing 10 marathons in 11 days. He continues to challenge himself and share his story in the hope of helping others who may feel lost, alone or grieving.

In this episode we touch on just some of the experiences that Chris has had and how they have shaped his life as he knows it now.

We chat about mens mental health, grief, anger, rebuilding and rediscovering who you are after losing everything... and bacon sandwiches!

I hope you enjoy this episode of The Echoes.
