Description

This week I am joined by James Oliver, a Men’s Work Coach, Podcaster and Founder of the Men’s Community ‘One Brotherhood’. He supports men in finding their authenticity and freedom through 1:1 coaching and mentorship, along with group workshops and retreats.

In this episode you can expect:

- Looking into who we are when we’re not doing

- James’ relationships, with himself, his father and his ex partners and how they became the turning point for his own self-development

-How shame played a huge part in the way he was living his life and how he began to look into it more deeply.

-What we can do if we notice shame show up in our lives.

Before this work James believed that so many parts of who he was were broken, faulty and couldn’t be seen by others. Without realising, he was rejecting himself in numerous ways, and trying to perform a version of himself that he hoped could please everyone around him. He felt lost, miserable, empty and with no idea of who he was due to the shame that he was carrying with him.

A part of him believed that if he rejected himself he might find acceptance and love in other people.

Now he takes all of his personal experience and combines it with his professional skills to help free others who were in positions similar to him

I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I loved being a part of it.
