Description

On the night of October 15th 1977 in Edinburgh, Scotland, two young girls disappeared. They were last seen drinking in The World's End pub.

They were reported missing the next day.

On duty that day was a young Detective Sergeant who led a team of detectives into the initial investigation centred around The World's End pub.

As they began their enquiries, the bodies of two young girls matching the description of the missing teenagers were found some miles away.

That young detective would eventually lead the investigation and 37 years later was in court to see the perpetrator found guilty of the 2 murders.

That young detective went on to have a distinguished Police career and retired as the Deputy Chief Constable of Lothian and Borders Police.

However, an ever greater honour awaited the former Deputy Chief Constable in his retirement.

He became the co-host of this podcast!

There is nobody better qualified to tell the story of The World's End murders than our own Tom Wood.

So sit back and let Tom describe to you, in detail, the events surrounding the first 48 hours of the girl's disappearance.
