Welcome to a special podcast. John has written a musical called Gethsemane that looks at who the naked disciple is. He is mentioned in Marks Gospel, chapter 14 verse 52 and 53.
This podcast contains the full 90 minute long musical. It was premiered at Edinburgh Fringe in 2023. Here’s a brief synopsis.
In Jerusalem, 30AD, Nadi and his brother, Levi, plan to attack and kill Pontius Pilate but Chloe, the love of Nadi’s life, bumps into Nadi moments before they are to strike. Nadi must choose whether to fight with his brother or join Chloe. He joins Chloe and walks away from Levi. Later that night, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Nadi realizes his friend Jesus is the Messiah, but not the warrior he was praying for. This is the Passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus as recorded in Nadi’s recently discovered journals.
We hope you enjoy it and John will be back next time with more classically speaking passages of the Bible.
