Party girl heiress Ellen Langford backflips over one holiday display too many and her father decides it's time for her to be a corporate executive. He charges her with the dubious quest of delivering a letter to his old friend and the company's co-founder, located in the same anonymous small town where they grew up together. As if that were not enough, he makes her ride the bus there and only gives her a hundred dollars for food and lodging. Then, when it seems like things can't possibly get worse for her, she meets Jake.
