Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine (2023-2024 formula) vial has excess volume of vaccine needed for children aged 6 months to 11 years. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an alert to health care providers to administer the correct dosage of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine to children after reports of double doses being given, and the excess volume of vaccine should be discarded.
