Sagafjord.
In May 1965 she commenced sea trials. Built as an ocean liner for the Norwegian America line she was highly luxurious. Built in France the ship became known as one of the most luxury ships afloat in the “five Star plus” category. She was acquired by Cunard in the 1980s and would often sail to Sydney as part of her world cruise. On several occasions she met QE2 in the harbour and Concorde would fly in passengers from the UK to join Sagafjord for the second half of her world voyage! She left Cunard in 1996 and started cruising for Saga in 1997 as Saga Rose. She was retired in 2009.

Emma reviews her recent cruise on Norwegian Spirit in the Mediterranean. Norwegian Spirit cruises from Athens in 2020 followed by a winter Europe deployment between Lisbon & Barcelona. However, at the time of recording all cruise operations are paused globally.
Late 2021 Norwegian Spirit will relocate from Europe to Australia via Dubai and Singapore for a seasonal deployment from Sydney & Auckland.
