Britannic
Having survived WWII, the refreshed and restored Britannic returned to the Liverpool to New York service in May 1948.
Built for White Star Line she survived the war where she operated as a troop carrier. She carried over 100,000 troops during her service and was able to return to service as a luxury liner for Cunard-White Star after the war.
Britannic sailed on her last voyage on 25 November 1960, outliving all other white star liners and proves that even in the darkest times there is hope for the cruise industries return.
