Could we have a polyamorous world?
My guest in this episode is Libro Levi Bridgeman, a writer, performer, the editor of Hot Pencil Press, and a ‘solo poly’ person. Libro’s been on quite the journey with sex since the 80s—from butch dyke to nonbinary legend, and lots in between.
Libro’s story is one of periodic monogamy, gender-affirming surgery, caring for others, and the freedom that can arrive in your 50s. They are provocative, inclusive—and dead entertaining. I loved discussing with them how a free-sex world would empower people to be the gender they are, and not force polyamorous people to say why they’re coming to the dinner party with this partner instead of that one.
Any poly people out there, and anyone else: let me and Libro know what you think of our conversation.
