Génesis 21: Dios escucha tu clamor
Vamos a leer parte de este capítulo, pero no olvides leerlo completamente.
Génesis 21:9-21:
9 Sara vio al hijo de Agar la egipcia, que esta le había dado a luz a Abraham, que se burlaba. 10 Por eso dijo a Abraham: —Echa a esta sierva y a su hijo, pues el hijo de esta sierva no ha de heredar junto con mi hijo, con Isaac.
11 Estas palabras preocuparon muchísimo a Abraham, por causa de su hijo. 12 Entonces Dios dijo a Abraham: —No te parezca mal lo referente al muchacho ni lo referente a tu sierva. En todo lo que te diga Sara, hazle caso, porque a través de Isaac será contada tu descendencia. 13 Pero también del hijo de la sierva haré una nación, porque es un descendiente tuyo.
14 Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, tomó pan y un odre de agua, y se lo dio a Agar, poniéndolo sobre el hombro de ella. Luego le entregó el muchacho y la despidió. Ella partió y caminó errante por el desierto de Beerseba. 15 Y cuando se acabó el agua del odre, hizo recostar al muchacho debajo de un arbusto. 16 Luego fue y se sentó enfrente, alejándose cierta distancia, porque pensó: “No quiero ver morir al muchacho”. Ella se sentó enfrente, y alzando su voz lloró. 17 Entonces Dios escuchó la voz del muchacho, y el ángel de Dios llamó a Agar desde el cielo y le dijo: —¿Qué tienes, Agar? No temas, porque Dios ha oído la voz del muchacho, allí donde está. 18 Levántate, alza al muchacho y tómalo de la mano, porque de él haré una gran nación.
19 Entonces Dios abrió los ojos de ella, y vio un pozo de agua. Ella fue, llenó el odre de agua y dio de beber al muchacho. 20 Dios estaba con el muchacho, el cual creció y habitó en el desierto, y llegó a ser un tirador de arco. 21 Habitó en el desierto de Parán, y su madre tomó para él una mujer de la tierra de Egipto.
En este capítulo podemos ver una escena muy incómoda. Agar fue despedida de su trabajo por Sara por los conflictos que tenían entre los hijos de ellas.
Abraham no quería hacer esto pero Dios le confirmó que Él tendría control de la situación y cuidaría de Ismael y lo haría también una gran nación pero que era necesario que estuviera lejos de Isaac.
Agar fue despachada por Abraham. Ella no sabía qué hacer y caminó por todo el desierto hasta que se le acabó el agua. En ese momento comenzó a desesperarse y entró en un estado de pánico porque vio que su hijo se estaba deshidratando. La reacción de Agar fue alejarse un poco de su hijo porque no quería verlo morir. Ella no tenía más esperanza de vida y no había nadie que los pudiera salvar; entonces el niño lloró fuertemente, pues además de tener sed y hambre, tampoco veía a su madre.
Imagínese la desesperación y la impotencia de Agar como madre. A pesar de que Agar ya había tenido un encuentro con Dios la primera vez que huyó de la casa de su patrona, ella no clamó al Dios que la vió en aquella ocasión. Pero Dios sí escuchó el clamor de ese jovencito. La angustia de Ismael movió el corazón de Dios y se acercó a Agar preguntándole cómo se sentía. Dios le confirmó a ella que quería protegerlos y bendecirlos. Aunque ella sentía que estaba en sus últimos momentos de vivir, Dios le afirmó el futuro grandioso que tendrían.
Dios se compadeció del clamor de Ismael y también lo hará con nosotros. El rey David dijo que el Señor no desprecia un corazón contrito y humillado. El espíritu quebrantado es apreciado ante los ojos del Señor. (Salmo 51:17).
Si estás pasando un momento difícil en tu vida y en tu hogar, no te guardes eso en el corazón. Sácalo, levanta tu voz, Jesús te está escuchando. Mateo 6:6 dice: “Pero tú, cuando ores, entra en tu habitación, cierra la puerta y ora a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en secreto te recompensará.”
Habla con Dios estés donde estés y escucha lo que el Señor te quiere decir en tu corazón; recibe la calma que proviene de Dios y no temas, que el Señor te va a mostrar sus propósitos en medio de tu desierto.

We are going to read part of this chapter, but don't forget to read it completely.
Genesis 21:9-21:
And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, scoffing. Therefore she said to Abraham, “Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, namely with Isaac.” And the matter was very displeasing in Abraham’s sight because of his son.
But God said to Abraham, “Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called. Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is your seed.”
So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba. And the water in the skin was used up, and she placed the boy under one of the shrubs. Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot; for she said to herself, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept.
And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation.”
Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink. So God was with the lad; and he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. He dwelt in the Wilderness of Paran; and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
In this chapter we can see a very uncomfortable scene. Hagar was fired from her job by Sarah because of the conflicts they had between their children.
Abraham did not want to do this but God confirmed to him that He would have control of the situation and would take care of Ishmael and would also make him a great nation but that it was necessary for him to be far from Isaac.
Hagar was dispatched by Abraham. She didn't know what to do and walked all over the desert until her water ran out. At that moment she began to despair and entered in a state of panic because she saw that her son was dehydrating. Hagar's reaction was to move away from her son a little because she didn't want to see him die. She had no more hope of life and there was no one who could save them; then the child cried loudly, because in addition to being thirsty and hungry, he couldn't see his mother either.
Imagine Hagar's desperation and helplessness as a mother. Although Hagar had already had an encounter with God the first time she fled from her patron's house, she did not cry out to the God who saw her on that occasion. But God did hear the cry of that young man. Ishmael's anguish moved God's heart and He approached Hagar asking her how she felt. God confirmed to her that He wanted to protect and bless them. Although she felt that she was in her last moments of life, God assured her of the great future they would have.
God had compassion on Ishmael's cry and will also have compassion on us. King David said that the Lord does not despise a broken and contrite heart. The broken spirit is appreciated in the sight of the Lord. (Psalm 51:17).
If you are going through a difficult time in your life and in your home, don't keep that in your heart. Take it out, raise your voice, Jesus is listening to you. Matthew 6:6 says: “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”
Talk to God wherever you are and listen to what the Lord wants to tell you in your heart; receive the calm that comes from God and don't be afraid, that the Lord is going to show you His purposes in the middle of your desert.
