Éxodo 39: Tu nombre grabado en la presencia de Dios.
Éxodo 39:1-14
Hicieron las vestiduras tejidas de material azul, de púrpura y de carmesí, para servir en el santuario. Hicieron las vestiduras sagradas para Aarón, como el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés. Hicieron el efod de oro, de material azul, de púrpura, de carmesí y de lino torcido. Extendieron láminas de oro e hicieron hilos para tejerlos junto con el material azul, la púrpura, el carmesí y el lino, obra de fina artesanía. Le hicieron hombreras que se juntaban sobre él en sus dos extremos, para poderse unir. Su ceñidor para ajustar el efod, el cual está sobre este, era de la misma hechura y de los mismos materiales: oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido, como el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés. Labraron las piedras de ónice con engastes de oro alrededor. Fueron grabadas con grabadura de sello, con los nombres de los hijos de Israel. Y las pusieron sobre las hombreras del efod, como piedras para recordar a los hijos de Israel, como el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés.
Hicieron también el pectoral, obra de fina artesanía como la hechura del efod: de oro, de material azul, de púrpura, de carmesí y de lino torcido. Era cuadrado y plegado; hicieron el pectoral de veintidós centímetros de largo y de veintidós centímetros de ancho, plegado. Engastaron en él cuatro hileras de piedras: La primera hilera tenía un rubí, un topacio y un berilo. La segunda hilera tenía una turquesa, un zafiro y un diamante. La tercera hilera tenía un jacinto, un ágata y una amatista. La cuarta hilera tenía un crisólito, un ónice y un jaspe. Estas piedras estaban montadas en engastes de oro. Estas piedras correspondían a los nombres de los hijos de Israel; eran doce como sus nombres. Correspondían a las doce tribus, como grabaduras de sello, cada una con su nombre.

Este capítulo es el último que registra la elaboración de los elementos sagrados. Aquí vemos en detalle la hechura de las vestiduras de los sacerdotes. Lo especial es ver cómo los sacerdotes se presentaban delante de Dios y llevaban los nombres de cada tribu de Israel en dos piedrecillas sobre sus hombros. Además, tenían un pectoral donde estaban incrustadas 12 piedras preciosas que simbolizan a cada una de las tribus.
Esto es muy significativo, el que Dios tenga una representación de Su pueblo constantemente en el pecho del sacerdote para que interceda por el pueblo continuamente, y que los represente con piedras preciosas. Esta es la forma en que Dios ve a Sus hijos: como joyas preciosas por su belleza y su valor.
Más adelante, cuando el pueblo iba a ser castigado y llevado en cautiverio, Dios prometió a Su pueblo que nunca se iba a olvidar de ellos aunque estuvieran sufriendo las consecuencias de sus pecados, pues Dios dijo que los llevaba marcados en sus manos.
Isaías 49:15-17 dice: “¿Acaso se olvidará la mujer de su bebé, y dejará de compadecerse del hijo de su vientre? Aunque ellas se olviden, yo no me olvidaré de ti. He aquí que en las palmas de mis manos te tengo grabada; tus murallas están siempre delante de mí. Tus edificadores vendrán aprisa, y tus destructores y desoladores se irán de ti.”
¡Qué lindo es el Señor!
Y de la misma manera que Dios tenía a Jerusalén grabado en Sus manos, también simboliza la forma en que Dios nos lleva a nosotros, los que somos de diferentes razas y naciones.
El Señor Jesucristo es nuestro Sacerdote; y al entrar al cielo después de haber resucitado, cada uno de nosotros estamos en la mente de Dios, representado en cada una de las marcas que Jesucristo recibió al ser crucificado.
Es por eso que cuando Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos, Tomás pudo ver y tocar esas heridas. No te has preguntado ¿por qué Dios no removió esas marcas de Su cuerpo? La respuesta es porque ¡esa es la señal del pago que Dios tuvo que pagar por nuestra libertad!
¡Esas marcas de Sus heridas somos tu y yo! ¡Por nuestros pecados Él fue crucificado pero por medio de Su crucifixión, muerte y resurrección le quitó toda autoridad a la muerte y al infierno, y le quitó el poder sobre nuestras vidas a Satanás!
Cada persona que se acerca a Jesucristo para reconocerlo como su único Salvador y se convierte en un verdadero adorador, su nombre es escrito en el libro de la vida. Tallado y marcado para que no sea borrado (siempre y cuando seas fiel hasta el final), pues la sangre del Cordero y Sus marcas son las tallas similares con las que tallaron los nombres del pueblo de Israel en las piedras de ónice.
El Señor conoce tu nombre y los nombres de cada uno de los miembros de tu familia; Él conoce tus necesidades, tus ansiedades, tus preocupaciones, tus proyectos y tus anhelos. ¡Él nos conoce muy bien!

Exodus 39: Your name engraved in the presence of God.
Exodus 39:1-14:
Of the blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen. And they beat the gold into thin sheets and cut it into threads, to work it in with the blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and the fine linen, into artistic designs. They made shoulder straps for it to couple it together; it was coupled together at its two edges. And the intricately woven band of his ephod that was on it was of the same workmanship, woven of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
And they set onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold; they were engraved, as signets are engraved, with the names of the sons of Israel. He put them on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
And he made the breastplate, artistically woven like the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen. They made the breastplate square by doubling it; a span was its length and a span its width when doubled. And they set in it four rows of stones: a row with a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald was the first row; the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their mountings. There were twelve stones according to the names of the sons of Israel: according to their names, engraved like a signet, each one with its own name according to the twelve tribes.

This chapter is the last one that records the elaboration of the sacred elements. Here we see in detail the making of the priests' garments. The special thing is to see how the priests presented themselves before God and carried the names of each tribe of Israel on two small stones on their shoulders. In addition, they had a pectoral where 12 precious stones were embedded that symbolize each of the tribes.
This is very significant, that God has a representation of His people constantly on the chest of the priest so that he intercedes for the people continuously, and that he represents them with precious stones. This is the way God sees His children: as precious jewels for their beauty and value.
Later, when the people were going to be punished and taken into captivity, God promised His people that He would never forget them even if they were suffering the consequences of their sins, because God said that they were marked on His hands.
Isaiah 49:15-17 says: “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me. Your sons shall make haste; your destroyers and those who laid you waste shall go away from you.”
How lovely is the Lord!
And in the same way that God had Jerusalem, engraved in His hands, also symbolizes the way that God takes us, those of us who are of different races and nations.
The Lord Jesus Christ is our Priest; and upon entering heaven after being resurrected, each of us is in the mind of God, represented in each of the marks that Jesus Christ received when crucified.
That is why when Christ rose from the dead, Thomas was able to see and touch those wounds. Haven't you wondered why God didn't remove those marks from His body? The answer is because that is the sign of the payment that God had to pay for our freedom!
Those marks of His wounds are you and me! For our sins He was crucified but through His crucifixion, death and resurrection He took away all authority from death and hell, and He took away the power over our lives from Satan!
Every person who approaches Jesus Christ to recognize Him as his only Savior and becomes a true worshiper, his name is written in the book of life. Carved and marked so that it is not erased (as long as you are faithful to the end), because the blood of the Lamb and His marks are the similar carvings with which they carved the names of the people of Israel on the onyx stones.
The Lord knows your name and the names of each member of your family; He knows your needs, your anxieties, your concerns, your projects and your desires. He knows us very well!
