Kennardley speaks with Painter, Diplomat, Impresario, Spy, Scholar, Antiquarian, Architect, Humanist and Knight in both the English and Spanish courts, Sir Peter Paul Rubens. His remarkable life as Habsburg court painter in the Spanish Netherlands under Archduke Albert and Archduchess Isabella took Rubens from European court to court with his work as an artist and diplomat gathering information for the Infanta Isabella. His skills as a diplomat had him taking the lead in brokering a peace between Spain and England.
