An Air India flight bound for Gatwick Airport crashed not long after takeoff on Thursday, with more than 50 British nationals on board.

Local officials are scrambling to find survivors after shocking footage emerged of the plane hitting the ground and bursting into flames in Ahmedabad, Gujarat state.
