This week, Lorne and Nora sit down with Arfah Farooq, a community-building powerhouse, diversity & inclusion expert, and founder of Muslim Tech Fest.
Arfah’s journey began when she accidentally co-founded a startup called Discoverables in her early 20s. This launched her into the tech world. Since then, she’s made waves as the co-founder of Muslamic Makers, a thriving community of Muslim change-makers, upskilling and pioneering in tech. Recently, Muslamic Makers was recognised as one of the 100 Most Innovative Global Muslim Startups to Watch.
In this episode, we dive into the power of volunteers, building the community you need, and how Arfah juggles motherhood with running her own ventures. She also highlights the importance of having the right people by your side to achieve your goals.
Arfah shares her dream team, an inspiring group of women, all of whom she has knows well, who have profoundly shaped her journey.
