You can't not admire a guy with Nic Newman's journey into the AFL. Everything outside of the traditional pathway into the system, Nic definitely had to rely on self-belief and hope that an opportunity into the AFL world would open up after going undrafted. Sydney picked Nic in the rookie draft in 2015 which brough forward a lot of learning along with his first opportunity to make a mark on the league. After 4 years at the Swans, the man has never looked back since finding a permanent home to Carlton whereby plying his trade in a stacked position on the half back flank. Nic has been able to find consistency and influence in one of the up-and-coming footy teams in the comp under the captaincy of Patrick Cripps and coach Michael Voss. A great episode if you're falling short of your goals and are pursuing something that takes challenge. Hope you enjoy :) - Dont forget to follow, subscribe and like the show.
