The icon, Xena Warrior Princess, wants to take down the "Son of Zeus" (aka Peanut), and plans to use his best friend Ariolus to do it by getting him to fall in love with her (not bloody hard). Her devious plot threatens to destroy the friendship/romance between Iolaus and Hercules aka Peanut.
