Her larger community kept her focused though she was unhappy in her home. Decades of fighting childhood trauma evolved into her becoming a therapist who identifies with suffering.
Bio: Pamela G. Cappetta, EdD, LPC, LMFT is an expert in mindfulness with over 25 years of experience helping others heal from life's challenges. Her passion lies in guiding individuals to overcome obstacles that block them from living spiritually enriched and balanced lives. By integrating mindfulness, meditation, and psychotherapy, Dr. Cappetta empowers her clients to connect with their spiritual core and cultivate wellness in every area of life.
Her journey into the counseling profession began with a deeply personal mission. Growing up in a dysfunctional and abusive environment where silence and secrecy were the norm, she developed a heartfelt desire to create safe spaces for children to share their experiences and build healthy relationships. Initially specializing in child therapy, Dr. Cappetta expanded her focus to marriage and family therapy, recognizing the importance of addressing the needs of parents alongside their children.
Since 1995, Dr. Cappetta has operated a private practice in Williamsburg, Virginia, and has served as an allied health professor at Williamsburg Place & Farley Center since 1994. Her work inspires hope and transformation, empowering individuals and families to lead meaningful lives filled with balance and connection.
