Both her grandmother and mother were influential figures in her life. Karol speaks of finding strength from within, prayers in the night, that helped her decide to leave a situation that landed her in a place to regain her joy. Her second book was created to help others go inside, back to their authentic selves to find joy.
Bio:Karol V. Brown is a retired nutritionist and health educator. She is a workshop leader and public speaker, author, actor, and teaching artist. Topics include self-love and self-care. Coach Karol V. Brown has authored 2 books on Harriet Tubman and often portrays her on stage; thus, you can understand the episode title, The Harriet Tubman Way to Self-Love. Karol Brown has had an outstanding TedTalk June 2024.
