Starting his career at Plano Independent School District in 1981, Coach Brence's journey includes remarkable milestones. As the Head Football Coach/Athletic Director, he led his team to victory, including 2 state football championships, earning him the title of Texas state coach of the year in 1994 and 2005.
Beyond the field, Coach Brence is a published author with 4 books to his name, showcasing his passion for storytelling. As he looks back on his fulfilling career, Coach Brence is set to celebrate his 40th anniversary with his wife, Elizabeth, in 2025, surrounded by their loving family of 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 4 grandchildren.
