In his second sermon on intimacy with Christ visiting speaker Tim Chester considers how dryness in our spiritual life can be the gateway to a season of renewed passion for the Lord Jesus. He links Song of Songs to Jesus' words in Revelation to the church in Laodicea, where Jesus stands at the door of a lukewarm church and knocks on their hearts. Tim encourages us to think what attracted us to Christ in the first place and then think afresh about how we grow in that love.
