As the son of veteran comedic actor John Candy, humor runs in Chris Candy’s blood. The Canadian-born actor trained at Groundlings, Second City, and Upright Citizens Brigade. He hosts the weekly music program Neuz Pollution for KXLU 88.9, and is the co-host and creator of the Bumper 2 Bumper and Never Not Run podcasts. His acting credits include roles in Matthew Jacobs’ award-winning feature Bar America and the Funny or Die series Mystic Cosmic Patrol. In 2019 along with co-creator Guerrin Gardner, Candy wrote and starred in Rick Darge’s Chowchilla, which screened at the Raindance and Calgary International Film Festivals. In 2021 Candy wrote and starred in the short film Love Language, garnering him a Vimeo staff pick. Currently, Chris lives in Los Angeles where he acts and writes comedy.
