Description

Ushering in April and talking a little about Tom T. Hall and Iris Dement. I also go over two new album releases on April 5th, and then I share a song about my mother entitled, "No One's Home."

Song Lyrics:

No One's Home - miss those days when you would call/we could talk for hours about nothing at all/your familiar voice made me long for home/conversations on the phone/if I had a tough day/you would always know what to say/you made me feel not so all alone/conversations on the phone/the ease that I felt/when you would tell me/hard times will pass/so proceed bravely/you were quick to laughter/and free from worry/through this world/you moved so boldly/we'd talk about the news or your church or the snow/we'd talk about the wild oats that you used to sow/then you'd say hold on I've got something on the stove/conversations on the phone/the ease that I felt/when you would tell me/hard times will pass/so proceed bravely/the fear that I held/when you broke it to me/you were sick and the future looked cloudy/then the phone rang less but I know that you tried/and you always sounded like you had just cried/your happiness had been overthrown/conversations on the phone/when you died there was just dial phone/conversations on the phone
