Description

Sepideh Yadegar is a filmmaker: both writer and director. She graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design and her two short films “Asal” and “From” have been celebrated at numerous national and international film festivals. Her debut feature film which she wrote and directed is called “One Must Wash Eyes” and it debuted earlier this year. It was nominated for a Leo Award and won Best Canadian Feature at the Regina International Film Festival & Awards. She grew up in Iran where her experience of free speech suppression has shaped her social and artistic sensibilities.
