Bertie Stephens is the CEO and co-founder of Clean Planet Group, an organization tackling one of the world’s most urgent challenges: plastic waste. Through their groundbreaking ecoPlants, Clean Planet is converting hard-to-recycle plastics into sustainable resources—across the UK, the US, and Europe.
Bertie is also the force behind the Clean Planet Foundation, a not-for-profit dedicated to education and real-world impact around plastic use and carbon reduction. He’s even helping inspire the next generation through the Ellie Ment adventure book series, blending real science with storytelling.
Before his deep dive into sustainability, Bertie made his mark in tech as the founder of SKU Cloud, one of the UK’s most valuable startups, and in film with award-winning independent documentaries, including the Cannes-recognized 'Behind the Trees'.
Named one of Debrett’s 500 Most Influential People in Britain, Bertie now lives between England and Czechia with his wife Steph and their son Oskar.
