Today's guest is Liz Femi. Liz is a Nigerian-American writer, a 2024 Pushcart Prize winner in poetry, and a 2025 Sundance Episodic Virtual Lab fellow. An avid storyteller, Liz wrote and performed Take Me To The Poorhouse, which earned a Duende Distinction and an NAACP Theatre Award nomination. A recipient of Writeability’s Right to Write Award, her work has been published or is forthcoming in Michigan Quarterly, Good River Review, Wild Roof Journal, Stone Poetry Quarterly, West Trade Review and elsewhere.
