Romans 3:21-26

This passage is thought to be one of the most important paragraphs ever written. Paul has just spent the last two chapters explaining the purpose and insufficiency of the law, and now he starts with, "But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law".
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" means that all have, are, and will always fall short of God's glory. God is the standard, and we all fall short.
