Description

Peter and Thomas bring in two guests to help them break down Toronto FC's round-of-16 clash with León in the Concacaf Champions League this Wednesday. Joining them is Rudi Schuller (@RudiSchuller) of DAZN Canada and Javier Urquieta (@DeJesusUrquieta) of The Lions Den Podcast (@TheLionsDenPod), which covers León in English, to discuss the x-factors for both teams, how they'll approach the first leg tactically and more.

Following that, Peter and Thomas discuss Jonathan David's short-lived performance against PSG, his improved form in 2021 and what his injury means for the national team. There's also some transfer rumours involving players abroad, including Stephen Eustaquio likely joining Porto, Lucas Dias attracting interest from Juventus and Cyle Larin being pursued by Everton.

Finally, the show wraps up with a discussion on the latest Canadian women's national team squad for their friendlies against England and Wales. Will the additions of Cloe Lacasse and Evelyn Viens help Bev Priestman add more attacking vigour to the side before the Olympics?
