Description

Odell Mickens is a bassist from New Jersey known as the bandleader of NJ-based disco outfit The Discoteks. He has toured with The Trammps, featuring Earl Young ("Disco Inferno") for over three decades, taking part in events like the Disco Explosion Tour featuring the likes of KC & the Sunshine Band, the Village People, Gloria Gaynor, Evelyn Champagne King and Sister Sledge. He has toured and entertained crowds around the country playing keyboards with WALLSTREET, writing many of Wallstreet's singles, including "Old School Music", "Closing Time" and "Finally Friday". One of his first bands in the early 80's, Exit Nine, opened for several national acts including Cool & the Gang, Patti Labelle, the Commodores, BP Express and the Trammps. Odell also performs with Macho Man, a tribute to the Village People.
