Remakes have been around for quite a while at this point. Whether it be developers and publishers trying to extract as much money as humanly possible from their product or a move to gauge interest in possible sequels or reboots, Video Game remakes have remained in vogue for quite some time. Most of these are ports or upresed remasters, but every now and then something comes along that makes you think, huh maybe this could be a cool move. Take for example the studio Blue Point. Blue Point is a porting studio known for their excellent quality ports and more recently remakes. With the critical and commercial reception of their PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls being a sticking point, many fans of the souls/borne games began to wonder if the series could be taken over by Blue Point. That has triggered the topic for this show. There are many a dormant property for publishers to dust off and give new life to and we want to talk about those properties and which talented studios deserve to get shots at them.
