As everyone who has listened to this podcast will note, I am a pretentious film kid that loves TV and Film more than almost anything. Somewhere near the top of that list is video games. I’ve had arguments before, and I’m sure we’re about to have them again, about how storytelling between the two mediums differ. While I’m not the only one who feels this way, the two mediums draw from one another over and over. And the biggest way that this is done is adaptations. Now video games have adapted movies since the earliest eras of the artform, but game to movie adaptations have been a relatively new phenomenon. In more recent years, more and more games have been receiving the adaptation treatment and we’ve decided we want to tackle that subject for you today.
