One of the great things about gaming is its ability to connect with us on some level, whether that be narrative, gameplay mechanics, music, art design, or any other number of factors. One particular way has been through the use of characters. From Mario to Link to Commander Shepard to Geralt Of Rivia, characters are some of the most well known aspects of gaming. So we decided to talk about that today, but with a fun little twist. As a sort of nod to the recently announced Mario 35 and perhaps a look at how we plan to do our game of the year discussion episodes, we decided to talk about our favorite characters in gaming and then count them down in a fight to the death. Who will win our coveted spot as number one video game character, we’re about to find out!
Part 1 of this 2 part episode is dedicated to going through some of our favorite characters of all times in video games. We go in depth about 15 video game characters and we also talk about what we've been doing outside of gaming. Part 2 drops on Monday!
